               Log Country Church
The Village's reconstructed log church faithfully
represents an original Eastern NC log church.  Its
wide hand-planed flooring and authentic
hand-hewn pews were saved from the old Tyson's
Meeting House, the Oldest Primitive Baptist Church
in Pitt County.
                            Log Blacksmith Shop
The Log Blacksmith Shop contains a fine display of blacksmith tools
and other implements.  The blacksmith, a man of diverse talents,
became indispensable to the survival of the community.  With
progressive machinery and factory-made products, blacksmithing
became a lost art.
   Thomas Adrian Savage House
Adrian Savage built this small frame house near
Bell's Fork in Pitt County. The Savage House is a
fine example of vernacular Greek Revival
architecture and one of the few remaining in Pitt
County.  It represents an example of a home of a
middle class farmer.  The Village will eventually
use the house as an office and visitor's center.
                                  Log Stables
The Tyson family of the Red Banks community provided these
pre-Civil War timbers for the Village's stable.
